Finding A Home
 Searching for a home can be a lot of fun but it can also be an overwhelming experience. This information is designed to help you understand the process of buying real estate and was written as though I were sitting at the table having a conversation with you. There is no legalese or confusing double talk. Just the facts about buying real estate.
Regardless of being an experienced home buyer or a first time home buyer, this booklet will take some of the mystery and confusion out of your home buying experience. Over the years I have put a system in place that will help you in selecting and purchasing a home that is just right for you.
Here is a nine step process for finding your home:
Qualify for a Loan and Determine your Price Range
Determine Wants versus Needs in real estate
Review Properties from the "Preliminary" home search
Visit homes selected from the "Targeted" home search
Make an offer on the selected home you want to buy
Open Escrow
The Home Inspection: Order Home Inspection, Pest Inspection, etc.
Perform the Final Walk Through Inspection
Close Escrow and get the keys to your new home.
This booklet will walk you through each step of the process. This is just an overview so it will be brief. I won´t go to much into detail as it is intended only to help you understand what to expect when it comes to finding and buying a home. When we begin working together, I will discuss with you in greater detail each of the steps involved.
One document you will find to be very helpful is the Home Buyer Advisory. This document provides a ton of useful resources for the home buyer. In it you will get information concerning the various documents used in a typical real estate transaction, you´ll learn some of the common physical conditions in a property that you should investigate, and you´ll learn where to go to gain more information about various concerns relating to the property.
